Ok it is actually sort of hard to keep a blog, not hard but hard to make it interesting. I thought mine would be different, guess I just fall among. So what is up with Tone Loc and company.... well had a nice weekend. Went out with Debo and Supalinds and they are fabulous. I had one of the best nights in a long time. I love them both, where have you been all my life. Not to mention the intro to the yellow curry that I too could drink. Next night we went to the sister restaurant of Thai Siam, Sawadee, and had more yellow curry :) with Jake's friends, well my friends too, but that is how I distinguish it. Had a nice little fiesta at the casa de Carroll. Too bad it was missing Mexican DIET coke. But I love my in laws as much as my own.. I love love them to death. I think I like to be with them more than they like to be with us, isn't is supposed to be the parents bothering the children? Anyhow my mother in law is one of the people I look up to most (and no she doesn't check this blog, I don't think she is electronically intelligent enough j/k). She is awesome, smart, well rounded, cooks great, sews the holes in the butt of my pants, supportive and positive and she is 50 and has a social life. She is the coolest. My in laws are the parts of a family I never had.. a sister, a Martha Stewartish mom and a dad.
Anyway I too am basically Martha Freaking Stewart. I bought a slew of things today that have never before been in the Carroll home, but are much welcome new additions cooking red wine, almond extract, a horse radish, sweet potatoes, and two spices. I love adding spices to my collection it's like my cooking ability grows every time my spice collection expands. I am also losing my mind. In twenty four hours I have discovered that I took a movie back without the movie in it, I mailed an unstamped letter and used the wrong debit card. Can we say frazzled mother??? Anyway.. peace out.

sounds like a good time--if you like Thai food--I am going to have to give you this recipe I have for African peanut stew--it's awesome--healthy and yum--it's got curry and edamame, sweet potatoe--you would love it. All vegetarian

Seriously, I was asking Debo why we haven't hung out before. You guys are awesome. I am glad we finally got together. Now we just have to make it more frequent. I am glad someone else shares my love for the yellow curry...mmmm mmmm good. How was the other place?? Tasty??

When we moved into our new house, the Martha Stewart lady that lived there before, left an entire drawer full of spices. I was so excited. The next day while I was painting she knocked on the door and asked if she could get the spices she left. I was tempted to tell her I threw them out, but I gave in. Sad, sad day!

Debo and I were talking about how refreshing it is to go out with a couple that a)knows how to get a babysitter, b) doesn't talk about diaper rashes and formula the whole time and c) appreciates good food.

You rock!

That sounds like a good weekend. I am probably the most boring cook in the world, with my different versions of chicken casseroles all week long. So, if you find fun recipes to go along with your martha stewart spices, let me know!
