A Comment

I am going to try to make a better effort to comment on people's blogs. Then maybe more people will comment on mine and validate me as a person and more importantly as a blogger.

Ok.. please note the word TRY. There are so many stinking blogs out there it would take me like an hour to comment on all of them. My time is precious. Although... writing FUN and CUTE only might actually save me some time. But just know if I know you I blog stalk you, OK? Feel my presence instead of my attempt to write something better than fun or cute. Because if I am your friend that already means I think you are fun and cute it goes without saying.

My Farewell To Days Of Heat

Well this is going to be a boring post, because I have not done anything very exciting. Oh except for ran stairs until my calves were ripped off my body. And of course, Kari, who did them with me has no soreness at all. Again, she always kicks my butt. I did clean out my laundry room and wash the windows which was... brave. So I guess that is classified as exciting. Swam at Annies. I saw my little Manda pregnant and it was so cute. I also went back to school... Learning and Cognition-why and how we think. This class is basically analyzing thoughts and our minds. OH GREAT, THAT IS ALL I NEED. I think it may have been made for me. It's going to be so kick a, I already love it. Except my teacher is a genius (self proclaimed) whom hates the church and is in no way going to hold it back. By the way I am no genius. I had to google the word to figure out how to spell it.
I can hardy bare the Labor Dayness of it all. Chilly mornings and school kids. Oh my, oh my. Time to bring out the wind stopping fleece. That will be a sad day. I have already worn long sleeves shirts twice in the mornings. Although, on an up note Gossip Girl starts on Monday along with One Tree Hill. So there you go, that in itself will make up for disappearance of summer and the incoming of trucks full of autumn leaves in my yard from 5 one hundred year old trees. And yes, I am excited for 90210. See, I am still young. Or a 16 year old in a 26 year old body. Yes.. Alicia I am that old! (Just kidding!) So anyway.. I am still alive is basically why I am posting. I mean 4 days is basically an eternity in the blog social life, right. Now all I have to do is figure out how I am going to get Piper to stop wearing these summer dresses and put on some long pants.....

Sorry if you look at the other blog you have to see this picture twice, it is good space filler.

Happy Day!

The day has finally come! I signed Piper up for dance classes at a dance studio in Bountiful. She will have ballet and contemporary. Now we have to shop for ballet shoes and get a tutu made. I have been waiting for this day my whole life. I can't wait. (Oh, and neither can she.) But let's be honest about who is more excited.

Oh P.S. It's the studio where Gev went. Just by coincidence.

My Best Friend, Mr Sandman

I. Do. Not. Sleep.

Basically steer clear of me right now because I am going on about 5 hours in the last three days. And maybe 20 in the last three months. And missed three runs at the expense of it all hoping for more sleep with no such luck.

Post tubes in ears still not sleeping. Piper puked IN MY FACE our first night with tubes in the ears. (Yes, you read it right, IN MY FREAKING FACE.) Second night post tubes Beck pops a tooth out and has fever and Piper is back in the bed.

Seriously...when did sleep becomes such a coveted occurrence? I would do ANYTHING for a good night's sleep. ANYTHING.

That is all I have to say. My mind is obsessed with sleeping right now. Mr Sandman has permanent residence in my eye lids.

So much for my positive attitude and good heart. Maybe when my heart is rested it can focus on being good. As for now it's taking all it's got to just pump blood into my body.

Race Named After Stupid Car

This weekend was the Xterra. Jake, his friend Scott and Jen were in it. They all did a spectacular job.. Jen is always smiling when she is doing these, it's awesome. It was fun and great and looked really hard and I am really proud of how well Jake did and all the time and effort he put it into it paid off. And that is all I have to say about that.

Good Heart Positive Attitude

I am not a carefree person. This bothers me. I think too much. I discover things I wish I didn't. In all of this thinking lately, and quite possibly sleep deprivation I have decided to hell with thinking, excuse my language. Analyzing things can make them confusing. Wondering why people can be so self absorbed, needy, taking, oblivious, wonderful or not wonderful, confident or not is a waste of time. We can not control how other people behave, what they do or what they think. We can't make them treat us better, pay more attention to us, pick up their phones, listen to our problems, we can't control what they say behind our backs.
We can only control ourselves. We can only know what we know no matter how influential others may be.
By having a good heart and a positive attitude I believe things will work together for our good. Being a religious person has a lot to do with the good heart part, but even if you aren't religious I believe in karma, I believe things will work together for your good if you have a good heart. And if nothing else at least you will have a good conscience and an easy stomache. If you have a positive attitude you can avoid a lot of the negativity thrown at you or plain shoved in your face. Maybe you can more willfully take care of you family or serve your whomevers.
All I am saying is life is hard. I am not a carefree person. I work on being positive. I work on being happy. Selfishness is not something I take easily (although some would suggest otherwise). I like to give, I like to listen. I do not like it unrecipricated. Who does? I do believe that we should be good, selfless, honest, giving people whether it's recipricated or not. To everyone? Of course not. Don't let yourself be taken advantage of. I am going to work harder at having a good heart and a positive attitude. For the rest of my life.

Blah Blah Blogging

I am here. School is out so online classes are over. Another successful semester down. My last online classes available. Homestretch is here. But without the online schooling making me get on the computer everyday it is far from priority. Nap time consists of much better things. I literally have not checked a single blog in almost a week... sound the alarm!
So what have we been up to??? Went up to Brandon's cabin in Bear Lake, that was fun. Piper stayed at my parent's house so it was meant to be relaxing but Beckett screamed a majority of the way up the canyon due to painful ears I am assuming so the relaxing drive could have been.. more relaxing. Got me some Tiramasu cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory with some stinky butt hole and his better half :) whom I have missed. Gotta have some stink every once and awhile. Then hanging out at in law haven. Have I mentioned my affections for them? Oh right, if not well I love them.
Summer is shortening, I can feel it. School clothes and supplies everywhere, back to school commercials, the mornings running are chilly and dark. I was hoping to have a pass for boarding to make the winter not so dreadful, but that isn't looking to be in the future. With all the time at the parks and pools I am wondering what the winter will hold in store for two children.
I am hoping to have Beck's ears fixed (ear aches for about 3 months strait now). I have an appointment for my third opinion tomorrow and after much good advice am just making them put tubes in his ears and be done. Sleep seems so reachable yet so far away.
Well I best be off. Got a date with some gals and get to see Lindsey! Yay, I can't wait. She is one of my oldest friends and best examples. I might take a notepad today to take notes on how her and Britt do three children with such grace and humility. So, if you are there and see me writing on my hand hiding behind a tree... don't ask.

Maeby

This is Maeby.. my cousin's dog. She sort of rolls her eyes at the blog thing, with all good reason. But her dog is such a good dog. She is really cute and often mornings I see a dog that looks like her while we run and it makes me miss Kate. Anyway, maybe all I am good for is pet photography. But here you go.. here is my portrait of Maeby for you. Oh please note her super long tongue.

I See A Book Store Visit In Your Future

In celebration of the book coming out today (if you don't know what book comes out-you're not cool) here are some photos of the area that it is based in. That is Olympic National Forest followed by a city that I can not remember if is La Push or the one right after it, but they look the same and that is what you see there! Let's just say they aren't the most glamorous cities. Anyway we went there last summer. Anyway it was one of the first things I talked about this morning at 6 a.m. with the running gals and we were talking about the area and so I was looking back for memories sake. So everyone pee your pants with excitement that the new Stephanie Meyer book come out AHHHAHAHAHAH!!! Ok.. I can't make fun really because I, too, along with most of you will eventually read it. I however, will not, post pictures of it on my sidebar. Sorry.
