Introducing..... Me!

Ok so I have don't have to bore most of you with pictures I have taken I have made a separate blog to share pictures with those of you whom care and I am learning and growing in this hobby with. Also that way if you have a problem with my pictures :) or if you just plain could care less cause they suck, then you can just stimulate your mind with my intellectual banter and forego the many, many, many, many pictures of my kids. I would really like to hear what is thought about the photos and have some criticism either way.. Link is the right, duh.

My Studman

Well we had a nice, hot, somewhat relaxing night in Burley Idaho. If you didn't already know Burley pretty much rocks. I mean with the seed plants, and the farms, the fancy mainstreet with all the great restaurants, and all the cool tractors. The drive there was the best part. I just love seeing all the wheat fields and dry hills.

So don't judge my pictures, they suck. But I think I captured the true essence of the day. With Jake and my awesome sister in law, Jen's, excitement about the race. They both did amazing and concurred. It was Jen's birthday and she turned the big 3-0, thus the photo. I can't think of a better thing for her to be doing to ring in the thirties. I hope I am doing something just as monumental. I better start training now...

Then there was the poodle, with pink hair extensions..???

And the man with the wrinkles.....

Even Skulls Dont Make Him Mean...

I had to post these just cause they match the blog. I took these this weekend at the Spudman Jake was in. Basically Beckett and I just hung out because Piper was at my parent's house. We went down with our friends and camped out in the parking lot of the event. It was pretty fun, although I have to say I just don't have the triathlon bug yet. Duathlon-for sure. Swimming and me just don't go hand in hand. Well let's be honest, we haven't even really officially met. So maybe one day. But I think my spudwoman sister in law does a pretty good Carroll woman representation for us in the tri department. Anyway more pictures of my Spudman to follow. If and when I finish my 12 page research paper on the effects of television viewing on children. Don't tell my professor that I will have to put my two year old in front of the television to be able to finish it. My paper would possibly be void...

Weekend Recap

It was my "little" brother's birthday this weekend. He turned 19. . yeah he is 19. When did that happen? So we had a little get together and got him Rockband.. which Eli thoroughly enjoyed. He is basically guitar pro already. Kris is pretty stellar on lead vocals as you can see. I love how you can see my dad's admiration for Piper in his eyes... to me, catching something like that is what a good photo is all about. I love the evening light in the picture with Beckett. It looks so natural. My dad has some awesome corn in his yard that me and Oliver were playing peek a boo in. Pictures are so much more than photoshop and great light (which I know nothing about.) They are about the stories behind them.

We had a pretty quiet weekend other than the little gathering and the Farmer's Market (the box is symbolic of that experience). Lex and I met baby Jarek and Ashley was fabulous in the true fashion that my gals entail. The Carroll's are still in Alaska and we miss them dearly. I mean, who would want to be taking pictures in a bear camp rather than babysitting our kids and letting us eat their food and mess up their house??? So the weekend was very quiet. As is this post. Now it's time to gear up for another week. Sunday nights are rough for me. I dislike them very much. This week I really have to kick up my workouts because I have hit a wall. So I have to reach up and over the wall and I am pretty sure it has sticker vines all over it or something of the sort because I sort of just feel discouraged. ANyWAy....

My First Recipe Post (Keeping With Housewife Standards)

1 1/2 C. cooked chickpeas (cooked from dry or canned, drained) this is one regular size can
3 TBSP tahini
2 TBSP vegetable oil
1 TBSP olive oil I USE ALL OLIVE OIL, NO VEGI OIL !!
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. ground cumin
1/8 tsp salt, or to taste

Place all ingredients in a food processor, process until pureed.

Thanks Kate for this recipe, it is really good. A few of you out there are fans of the hummus and so I thought I'd post it. It's better than the infamous Costco kind in my non humble opinion. So maybe it will help those pregnant cravings :)

Warning: Missing Sarcasm

Ok if you don't want bask in the glory of my new hobby then stop looking and reading. I guess you could say I am sort of into this whole taking pictures thing. I mean.. I guess that is safe to say. But man, it's so nice to have a new hobby. What since I already mastered the art of dancing, tumbling, running, road biking baby making, modeling, and most definitely mountain biking. (You seeing my sarcastic face here?) Ok all I have mastered is mediocrity. But anyway... thanks for putting up with it. Sorry if it bores you. I am sure soon I will thrilling you with my trips to Costco and Old Navy and the excitement of Beckett doing something extraordinary. But until then the following are some of my favorites from my past week of photography bliss that includes fun places and great faces (I should put that in a greeting card.)

Oh young love. Enough said.

Faceless Beauty

Her face is too cute, if I showed it then it would be too dangerous because you would all want to come and kidnap her. No seriously, she is the most beautiful baby ever. She belongs to our dear friends that we owe our lives to... I mean our marriage.

Toe Heads

Here's some from the other day with the two boys. I know some of you were curious about them. Man, these two boys are keeping up with the good looks that run in the family, I'll tell you that much.

Happy Half A Year Old

Beckett and I have had a successful relationship now for six months. Yes, he is six months old today. Why, you ask, do I word it as successful relationship? Well I was quite nervous and apprehensive for two children and wondered how could my heart quite possibly expand and make room for another baby? Well it has successfully grown and made plenty of room for my little peanut. He is quite possibly the love of my life. I am pretty sure no one loves me like he does (or at least I tell myself that). But he is my little peanut and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Another Post, YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I decided some people are exclamation marks and some people are periods. Hey some may even be .....'s but that is another discussion. I, however, I am a period. I am not an exclamation mark. My life is not in your face, loud, trying to get attention and say "Look at me, look at me!!". It is just a period. This is me. I don't state my needs, too many opinions to too many people. I don't talk about myself to too many people, I don't take what I want or need, I don't stand up for myself much. If you don't listen, you'll miss it. If you don't look, you might not see. And trust me, few actually know what I think. Few actually care to know. Good for them. Not saying you should care or should listen. Exclamation marks get attention, they get listened to, they get noticed, they are admired, they are often popular, they are most definitely enthusiastic. Anyway. .. not that any of this for certain makes sense. I am just not an exclamation mark.

Blessings With Bellies (And Boobs)

I had the best night with the gals last night, to celebrate..us. But really to celebrate Ashley's baby and Lindsay's iron awesomeness. We finally got to see Mindy's house before she sells it and there were plenty of bellies to rub, as you can see and thankfully only one baby to kiss because all the others were with their daddy's. And to totally brag, not only were babies asleep when I got home 5 hours later, and house picked up, they even made rice crispy treats. So it was a fabulous night of good treats, good conversations (when you can get a word in), no kids, uplifting compliments, true colors and all in all accepting friendships. What else could I have asked for?

Lavender Days

Better late than never. The only memories we didn't capture was Piper and Emmy at the Fairy Princess Tea Party. Too bad cause Piper sure did love one of the fairies. It was pretty cute. We had fun watching her be amazed by the "beautiful" fairies. Not too mention lavender ice cream.. that is good. We are getting a lot of good times in before my in laws leave for Alaska for way too long. Hope they know how much we will miss them. But as you can see, I am sure the resident pro will have a good time taking pictures, hopefully he doesn't forget his wife is there and leave her for a bear.

Point Of Interest

Remind me again how I survived in the winter? I am so enjoying the summer that I can't even imagine going back to cold weather. Play dates, swimming, running, biking, ice cream cones everyday... oh boy do I miss cold hard wood floors.
So there are so many blogs to check that I get overwhelmed and don't check any of them. Also if I sit down and start looking, I never stop. So I figure it best not to start because I really can't afford any of my precious free time. Except for my two friend blogs, of course. Anyway.. so alas, I will just post pictures of my kids, because... well what else is interesting about my life???

Diet Coke Heaven

So I must have done something right because the Diet Coke Gods have showered me with their good fortune. Keep your head up and don't loose hope, and maybe the Gods of your favorite soda pop will smile down on you too. If you're lucky.
