We've Made It Six Weeks

Oh happy day! I'm listening to a little Jimmy Eat World, Piper is at my mom's, Miss Lou slept through the night and is still sleeping and Peanut is glued to Team Umizoomi ("supa shaaapes!"). Not to mention having girl's night the last TWO nights, so I am all sorts of rejuvinated. I think I can handle this three kids thing as long as I have Piper at my mom's and girls nights consecutively. Oh. Wait. Guess that can't happen. One can dream.

I thought Indie was getting better because she was really good over the weekend, but then Jake went back to work. The last two days all I have done is held her. Yesterday was tricky, getting ready for a baby shower at my house whilst listening to a screaming baby or holding her while doing it. So guess she is back to her old ways. Too bad I can't think of some genius idea to make us millionaires so Jake can quit his job....

So Miss Lou hit 6 weeks. The big milestone for her and I. I thought about starting working out this week. And then decided I am riding this "I am tired and just had a baby" thing awhile longer. Although the coming Monday's pool day made me revisit the idea. AND THEN I LAUGHED IT OFF.
I put her in one of the dresses I made because I am pretty sure it will only fit her for a split second. Here are some super busy pictures of her happily laying on the ground, not being held.
Mark this momentous occasion.

Ok, she is awake and screaming. Let the day begin. Happy day aborted.

I'm sure you've gotten tons of unsolicited advice, but here comes more from someone who's not even a mom yet. I'm reading 'The Happiest Baby on the Block' by Dr. Harvey Karp (getting ready for my potential screamer). It's about calming babies who cry 24/7. Indie sounds like my sis-in-law's first baby, but the stuff in this book changed all that for her. I recommend checking it out, or at least asking around to see if your mommy friends have read it and tried the stuff. Good luck!

This amazing little girl is SO adorable Toni! At least she has that through all the screaming...ha ha! Anyway, we missed you at my house the other night, while you were having fun at your house! I haven't seen you in forever...we keep missing each other. And if it makes you feel any better I felt the same way on tues. when I was getting ready for dinner group and my sweet 13 month old was following me around whinning/crying while I was trying to get things done....ahhhhhhh! Does it ever end!?
