Flying
Hello blog world.
I took these pictures this morning in my kitchen. The kitchen that soon won't be mine. I know that in life change is inevitable, but good hell can't it just happen one thing at a time? Throw a girl a freaking bone here!
So we sold our house (thanks to Brandon Visser's mad skills..or magic powers?) and we are building just out a few miles west. I know, west. But hey a girl's gotta stay in Farmington. We will most likely be living with Jake's parents in South Jordan in three weeks, as long as this old beast appraises :) I love you house.
And I am pregnant for anyone who isn't on Facebook, which you are thereby an alien if you are not. Yay for second trimesters.

"I had a dream.. I could fly from the highest tree.. I had a dream.
Now I'm old I'm feeling gray I don't know what's left to say, about this life I'm willing to leave.
I lived it full I lived it well there's many tells I've lived to tell.
I'm ready now.. I'm ready now..
To fly from the highest tree."

Blahhhhging.
Apparently my running is so slow it just nulls him to sleep!
We sold our Cruiser. The driveway is pretty empty without it. I think very few people have known Jake without one. But.. on to bigger and better things.
We sure did have some good memories in it. Here is one of Piper and Sparta on some outing. We brought Piper home from the hospital in this car. And oh how many times I cursed it when I tried to hurl myself into it pregnant!
Anyways.. life is full of changes and growing. Some is fun and some (a lot) is not. The circle of life is apparent everywhere and we strengthen and harden in the course of it whether we like it or not. Every changing stage of life offers new lessons and new memories we just have to make sure we are taking advantage of the right ones and not being clouded by the bittersweet bite of change.

Rufus The Dufus
This is Rufus, name from Gossip Girl (go ahead make fun). My neighbor has sent him to the shelter twice because she DESPISES cats, and is a friendly neighbor, obviously. And is still trying to catch/lure him into her cage. It's a really good thing he is such an outstanding cat or else he wouldn't be worth the inconvenience. It's also a really good thing I have such outstanding neighbors that are so considerate and find cats to be such an interesting hobby.

Words Of Peace

I think often children deserve a lot more than we give them. Maybe I am biased concidering a lot of the things I had and didn't have when I was a child. Things that impact me to this day. I believe that kids deserve our time and attention. I think they deserve to have consistent lives with a parent. Consistency and order. Bedrooms and driveways, and caldasacs. A parent there to pick them up from school when it's raining, or not. I think they deserve to be fussed over and have tears shed when they leave to preschool or kindergarten. It's their right to be cared about at that level. They deserve to have parents who are paranoid and take them to the doctor over bug bites or whatever eles the parent is unsure of. They deserve ellaborate birthday parties, treats, and ice cream for no reason. Home cooked meals. They don't deserve to passed around and forced to go places they aren't comforable. They should be told they are loved and that they are good constantly because they are, even if they aren't. They shouldn't be put before work, before tasks, or before others. It's the one time in their lives they get to be put first. It's the foundation of their existence, their self esteem and self worth. I believe I am lucky to be surrounded by friends that are SUCH good moms and examples. That make huge deals out of what preschool, what their Halloween costume is going to be and how big their birthday parties are. Some people think it's silly, but I think they deserve it. I love seeing people blogs and seeing girls fuss about their kids. I think everyone wants to be loved and fussed over, especially children. Am I perfect at this? Basically. But one can always strive for more perfection :-) Joke
