Thanks George

So this is sort of random, but I heard George Clooney on E! one day a long time ago (so what if I Tivo it??) and he said something that has totally stuck with me because I sort of feel like it's always been my go to mantra. He said, YOU CAN'T TAKE YOURSELF TOO SERIOUSLY. He was talking about fame and Hollywood crap of course, but come on.. totally applicable to Utah culture and being a stay at home mom, right?

I have never really been a person who cared what others thought, if I could or could not "pull this off" (purple hair-bring it on) or if this goes, or if I should say this. I just do. I be. I don't take myself too seriously. I don't over think too much or care too much about much of anything. Possibly because if I really wrapped my head around who I am and what others thought it would be crippling and exhausting and devastating. It's easier to not care. Maybe it's because there isn't anything seriously special about me, I am not overly pretty, overly talented at anything, never been overly popular, or overly anything. Therefore the fear of failing isn't too high for me. Expectations and disappointments just don't really exist. The bar isn't too high.

Anyways I thank George Clooney and my Hollywood obsession for putting a label on my attitude about life. I thought I'd share because it was such great advice.

Here are some recent pictures I have sent to friends or family asking for advice.

For example, "should I buy this?"

"Do you like these glasses? Or are they way too big for my face?"

This is obviously serious business, deciding which ones to wear today to the grocery store, I mean heaven forbid I buy the wrong percentage of milk.

Concentrate.....Yep, still like the race car glasses better. Hard decision, better just get Lasix.

Or "could my face possibly have more zits?" Ok not really, this one was to my fake eyelash friend. "Check out my new pair."

Toni- You are overly amazing if you ask me! I LOVED this post because I have been struggling with some issues lately and this really helps me to put things in perspective, relax and just let things be. THANK YOU for this! And btw, I liked the third pair best! Ha ha, no really, I think you look good in anything! Fake eyelashes or not ;)

Um. speaking of crippling and devastating ha ha just come visit me more often. Mostly, I really care how I make people feel and come across to others. I'm all wrapped up in how what conversation went or if I talked behind someones back how bad I feel after etc. etc. You know me!
p.s. love the eye lashes. where did you get them? I've tried them but i suck at putting them on. i've decided before LB i am getting lash extensions so I don't have to worry about mascara the entire summer while the rest of me looks saggy and awful my eyes will look rockin. just sayin.
ok long enough. love you.

Totally get the hat. I love hats. I just never wear the million of them that I have. I really should wear them more often. Did you find that at Target? I think I saw one like it there the other day.

Okay so I have tried fake eyelashes. What kind do you use? Can you still put mascara on them? Do they stay on very long? Do you go to a salon to have them done or store bought?

I have tried the sections of eyelashes before too and that just turned into a lop sided mess.

I have a secret. I edit every single photo of myself to get rid of the blochy zits I have! Sad but true. I hate them!!! I'm 24 when do they finally go away?

P.S. I love the glasses. I need glasses so bad but I can't pull any style off.

I completely agree with your post, but only because it is describing me!!! However sometimes I do care a little too much and need to work on that one. I think you are wonderful and very talented. I'm so so glad we are talking more than we used to:)
