I have been wanting to make Beck a quilt for some time and he saw this car, truck, firetruck, material and said, "wan buy this." What do you do? So the material isn't necessarily what I would have picked, but if there is one thing Piper has taught me it's that my taste and my kids' will probably never be the same. Now I know why my mom thinks I am crazy for 99% of the stuff I pick out for my house. Especially my paint choices :)I was down right DREADING the reveal to her.
Notice the thifted sheet (that my mom thought I was crazy for wanting.."what would you make with that??") Um hello what wouldn't I make? I am pretty sure one of my grandmas had it on their beds at one point in their life! I am a mission to make Jake nuts with as many flowers in our house as possible :~ "That's fine, as long as it's not flowery...." Good thing you can't send or take fabric back....Oh how I love him. I will be happy to have this house adjustment finished so I can actually see him for more than an hour tonight. (I like to call it an adjustment because you don't necessarily REmodel a brand spanken new house..you just adjust it.)
We saw each other twice in the day though.. once at a warehouse to look for lights and faucets, and once at Home Depot. How romantic.
Still hoping to move in this weekend. Fingers crossed.
I really like the back and it's geometricness. I am happy with how that turned out.
