Little Lou turned 8 months.
Dear Indie~
You are a firecracker for sure, but I love your guts.
~ A Little Personal Info~
She still has no teeth and has pulled herself up to standing position a few times. She still wakes up ever 2-3 hours at night. She started clapping and waving (SOOO cute). And she is a ham with a silly sense of humor. Which, let's admit, if she has one at all is a step up from me. I am anxious to see what she weighs in two weeks because the doctor was concerned about it at 7 months (she weighed 13 lbs 8oz). She still has a really intense aura about her and I'm still trying to figure out if it's just her personality or if something else is going on. She is getting another energy reading tonight and I am anxious to see if she still carries all the 'negative energy' within her.
Any which way she is 8 months, I can barely believe how fast it's gone by and how much I love each one of my kids.
And look, her hair holds a clip! I sort of can't get over it :)

What is this face? She was unsure of whomever she was looking at..

He Came He Went.. And Left A Mess.
Well, "SaMta" didn't forget us. He was very generous. I seriously can't handle this adorable handwriting. Almost as much as I can't handle the fact that I have a child old enough to write.
Stinky The Garbage Truck is what Beck asked for. Here is him discovering it.
"STANKY!"

Indie had fun eating paper.
And how cute is she all naked with her red toes??
Piper asked for a lady bug Pillow Pet.. she got it, along with a pink Nintendo. She also wanted this bouncing Baby Alive to add to her GAZILLION baby dolls. I justify it because we now have two girls who will use all the babies.

Santa brought Indie these. Santa has good taste, I think.
It was a really great Christmas. Our kids were the funnest ages possible and we are very blessed. Not a day goes by that I don't thank my lucky stars for all that have. It blows me away the generosity and unselfishness that people display this time of year. I was surrounded by rich meaningful relationships and love..and a few great Anthropologie items. Who can complain.

Check. It. Out.
There is a boutique happening in my neighborhood tonight 6:30-8:30 at 1999 West Burke Lane in Farmington.
And *gasp* I am selling some stuff. This Santa has neglected to find those special elves that make all the kids' stuff! I know I am a slacker. I missed the memo on where to find those crafty elves. But Peanut wants Stinky The Garbage Truck, so Santa has to deliver.
Here is just a small preview of some things that will be there. There will be designer jeans, Scentsy stuff, handbags, scarves, woman's accessories, baby accessories, hand made stuff, jewelry, etc.
I am not a big boutique person, I have to admit, but if I do say so myself, this one is worth coming to. There are some really talented ladies with good taste in this neighborhood and what I have seen is worth checking out. So if you can and wanna, I will be there and you can come check it out. And if nothing else, just come because I will be there and I'll give out free hugs! (and maybe kisses, if it gets you there...)

Having A Good Weekend
Hi.
Why am I sitting here at noon in my pajamas on a Saturday, you ask?
Well combination of up all night cleaning up puke, mixed with husband taking tests I think sums it up.
Here's my little 13 and half pounder. I checked Piper's charts and she was almost 14 pounds at 6 months, so Indie being 13 lbs 6 ounces at 7 months is, well, small. But my arms can't complain. Since she likes to be held so much!
I love this picture of her. And I love this hat Kim made her that I am still stretching over her head. Hey Kim, your not busy at all, what with TWINS and all.. whaddya say you make her another one :)

What is cuter than the first awkward crawling steps?
"Oh. Hi Mom. Now that we've made eye contact I am going to stop and cry til you pick me up."
I'm even cute when I am not all dressed up with whatever crazy headband mom has stuck on my head! Who would have thought....

" I. Can. Not. BEEEELIEVE. You won't pick me up. Put away the da#*m camera!"
My first painted toes. *sigh* I love little girls.

7 Months, We Are Both Growing Up
Miss Lou is 7 months.

I don't really know how 7 months with this little firecracker has gone by so fast. If you read my blog, or talk to me much you know that this little Lou has been a really big challenge for our family.
But isn't it interesting the things you are dealt that you didn't know you need?
Why did I need a challenging baby who doesn't like to be put down, cries all the time and STILL wakes up 5 times a night (yes last night!) you ask??????
Well she and how time consuming, energy exhausting, and mentally ruining she has been has been so good for me. It's made me mature and grow as a mother so much. I have been FORCED into a lot of things. I have been forced to simplify my life. To prioritize. To become more unselfish. To simplify the people that I interact with, the things I do, where I go, and yes.. my internet and blog surfing (heaven forbid!)
It is too bad that I didn't willfully do all these things out of sheer common sense. It took a firecracker that basically just made it so I wasn't capable of doing it all.
Raising a family is important business. Business that is sacred and the things and people that take us away from it should be important and worth our time. When I have my own personal time I am finding I am very choosy about what I do, what show I might watch, what craft I might craft, or what friend I might call.
It's not like I have totally traveled this journey and I am some all knowing expert. It's just something I am realizing slowly in hindsight. This is a journey that I am still on. A journey that I think has different turns with different road with each new child you have and each stage your children are in. It's most likely is a third child thing for me maybe more than the hard third child thing (maybe those of you that too have just had your third or second or first can offer your opinion) because the three kids in and of itself has preeeeeetty much put me over the edge and had to make me really adjust to some stuff. Maybe it's different for everyone, we all have our thresholds.
It's been really interesting having Indie and moving at the same time. Being in a new neighborhood has it's own adjustments and then pairing that with adjusting to this third baby and this journey I am on in my own personal life and family. It's definitely a huge part of the journey. Being in a neighborhood like I am in you don't just automatically have an age group that is where you automatically be together. We are all the same age, in the same stage of life, mostly newly moved in knowing few people. Finding connections can be hard. Finding people who are genuine, sincere and have depth... well... I'll let you know. So far it's proving to be wonderfully surprising and at the same time pretty disappointing.
So anyway.. Indie Lou is 7 months and we are up and kicking (usually all night).
