Scenes From An Independence Day

We went to the South Jordan parade, as you can see my awesome father in law hard at work there. It was really fun, although Beckett wasn't so sure of all the noise at the beginning so he just hid in the stroller with the blanket over his head. Piper picked out this super great pink rodeo queen hat at the grocery store instead of her own pack of popsicles :).

We had a great night of neighbors and friends outside our house with marshmallow roasting, fireworks and peach cobbler and a great hurrah at our other good friends house with a whole bunch of great fireworks. This firework law is spectacular, don't you think!!

We had a fantastic Fourth of July. Family and friends and having little kids is the best, isn't it!

Wonderful Summer

I love my sweet babies. We are having a very great summer so far, filled with water playing, late nights, veggies from the garden, dirty feet, and pink shoulders.

Oh, summer, you and your wonderful self.

Mamma Friends

I had a final play date for Lex before she left for the rainy city. It was super fun and craaaaazy with all the kids! Man, we sure are repopulating the earth! But as always it's so fun to be with great friends and learn from all their wisdom and take comfort in all of us in the same stage of life.

Pipey had her last soccer game last night and she killed it! Get ready for this.....

She scored her first goal!

We are really proud of her and I think scoring that goal made her officially like the sport and she can't wait to sign up for next year.

My Big Baby

Miss Lou is now OVER a year. That's a crazy, I mean, it was crazy when she just turned one, now she is one and then some.
Every day she does something that makes my eyes about pop out of my head. "SERIOUSLY?"

She is a firecracker, this one. She screams, she wiggles, she moves, and moves.... and moves. But she is a sweet one.
I have been thoroughly enjoying her and Piper's growing relationship. They have started playing together and Indie wants to do or have whatever she has. Piper is really good big sister, which is no surprise. Piper was definitely destined to be a big sister.

As I took pictures off my phone I had to laugh.

I think some of my favorite pictures are taken by my phone. It's always with me for the quick picture of them doing things that are so them. Usually I proceed to send them to Jake at work to make him laugh.
